Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better called Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Dreamville Records released her debut EP, Pho, in October 2016, and she was able getting noticed. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. The album was released in May of 2019. Ari Lennox posted her music online in 2012, when she dropped her five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued uploading her songs online, as well as her own single Bound. Ari Lennox dropped her first track Whipped Cream on Shea Butter Baby on July 16th. A music clip was followed by a video in September. The 9th of November saw her release two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November, 13 she dropped two more singles titled The No One as well as Pdigree. She was featured with Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16and later made the track available as a solo single to her debut album. In February 2019 the video music for this track debuted. It has had over 3 million YouTube views in just one week. In December 2018 she performed on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
